The lady has a small matter of deciding what to do with 35 billion dollars which she has got, after getting divorced from Jeff Bezos, the world’s richest man.
She is now officially the world’s 3rd richest woman.

Jeff Bezos’s wife to get 4% of Amazon in Divorce Settlement

The world's richest man, founder of Amazon Jeff Bezos, and his wife MacKenzie have agreed to a record-breaking divorce settlement of $35billion.

The announcement from the couple came in a tweet from MacKenzie that was retweeted by Jeff.


                                           

What will MacKenzie get?

MacKenzie will get to keep a 4% stake in Amazon worth $35.6bn making her the world's 3rd-richest woman.

Before the divorce, she along with her husband jointly controlled 16% of Amazon’s total shares. 

Mackenzie was one of the first employees of Amazon where she started as an accountant.

The couple has four children.
                                

What’s left with Bezos?

Jeff Bezos, 55, is now worth at least $107 billion, based just on his 12% stake in Amazon. 

He will enjoy the sole voting power over the shares the couple once jointly controlled.

He’ll also keep all of the duo’s joint holdings in the newspaper The Washington Post and a space flight company, Blue Origin. 

Clears up the air

This settlement resolves a closely watched case affecting the world’s biggest online retailer Amazon which has a market capitalization of $890 billion.

The company’s shareholders will be relieved to see Bezos remain in firm control of the company he founded in 1994.
