In a report by Euromonitor International, a UK-headquartered global market research firm, it has been ranked at 73rd position.
About the Report
The report is a ranking of the top 100 most successful fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) brands worldwide and provides details on industries, companies, economies and consumers around the world.
It has been prepared by taking into account, each brand’s retail sales value for 2017.
Amul’s sales were in the range of Rs.14,000-21,000 crores registered by Gujarat Co-operative Marketing Federation (GCMMF), who market the Amul brand.
Doing very well
Amul had a remarkable 2018, when it featured in the Top 10 milk processors list in the world at 9th spot according to International Farm Comparison Network (IFCN), a global dairy research network.
Who topped the list?
As per the report, the top 5 megabrands in order are:Coca Cola, Pepsi, Nescafe, Lay’s and L’Oreal Paris.
